LETTERS – This island is full to bursting

I absolutely agree with the letter published in last week’s Voice.

I also saw the programme regarding Skegness, it’s quite frightening to think of what can happen.

I’m of the opinion that this island is full to bursting.

We are a compassionate nation, but also very stupid unlike the French who take the money but show no progress in stopping the migrants. They are not so generous with their taxpayers’ money.

Please remember this is your money not government money.

It’s not just the financial cost, it’s the bigger cost of feeling safe.

I agree it does feel like an invasion as one minister said and had to apologise, well I make no apology for wanting to leave my children and grandchildren a safe place to live and grow.

Taxpayers’ money should be invested in our children, not illegal immigrants.

I think Australia has the best idea. They proved sending illegal migrants to a holding country works and stops people smuggling and people losing their lives.
