LETTERS – Thanks for helping after fall

On Friday, November 30 at about 11.30am I was riding my bike along St Thomas’s Road, Spalding, towards Aldi.

There were a lot of cars parked opposite the road, as there usually is, and travelling along a few metres on, cars were coming towards me from Aldi’s direction.

To avoid these cars I found a dropped kerb and rode onto the pavement not allowing for the many wet and slippery leaves on the pavement.

My bike slipped away from underneath me and I ended up on the pavement.

I was in a lot of pain as my bicycle had landed on top of me and I could not get up.

The reason I am writing this is to thank the wonderful people who stopped.

Two gentlemen helped me get up and I was very grateful.

Also a lady came out of her house where I was laying on the pavement and she walked with me towards the top of St. Thomas’s Road and Winsover Road.

I would like to thank this kind person not knowing who she was.

She was very concerned about me.
