LETTERS – Kids have no concern for safety

On Monday, June 29, I called in at the Post Office in Winsover Road.

On exiting I was confronted by 40 to 50 kids on bikes riding like mad along the pavement.

I am disabled and nearly got knocked flying.

It was like walking into a cycle race like the Tour de France but contested by hooligans in white shirts, black ties, black blazers with a silver badge on the pocket.

I am sure the school will recognise the description of the uniform, which brings disgrace to the school, and think they should do something about it before there is a nasty accident and maybe an elderly pedestrian killed.

There was no safety considered as the cyclists weaved all over the pavement and dodged in and out of the cars.

It is time schools took pride in how their students behave.

Let’s see if the school has any pride left.
