LETTERS – Issue over rubbish collections

Following the recent letter from Mr Abrams regarding rubbish collection I would like to add my experience.

We normally put our green bag out on the Tuesday after Bank Holiday and the black sack on the Wednesday, however after Bank Holiday we had no collection at all in our road or any where in Sutton Bridge until a week later when it had doubled.

My neighbour rang the council and was told they will look into it but as far as they were concerned the men had been.

I also emailed the council and was told I would get a reply in ten days.

It gave the impression that only some staff worked after Bank Holiday as there were some collections nearer to Spalding and would be nice to know why this happened and hopefully not again with the hotter weather coming.
