LETTERS – Is Mr Fell speaking for everyone?

In your letters column (Feb 8) John Fell claims a male entrant is making a mockery of the Spalding Tulip Parade.
Presumably there is nothing in the rules to prevent a male entering the competition.
If this is the case, his ire would be better directed at the event organisers, who either need to change their rules or the name of the competition.
He also claims the male entrant is not welcome.
Is he speaking on behalf of Spalding, Lincolnshire, the entire nation, or perhaps just himself?
