LETTERS – I’m not reassured by response

Sir John Hayes asked Prime Minister Boris Johnson to reassure people in South Holland that local doctors’ surgeries will be equipped and supplied to vaccinate the vulnerable sooner rather than later.

He replied: “It is our intention Mr Speaker that doctors surgeries will play a crucial part in the vaccination programme.”

I for one am not reassured by this response. There has been talk of a vaccine for months and now that it’s being rolled out across the UK our council leader, Lord Porter, can’t find out anything about when it will be started in South Holland.

Why on earth didn’t the government ask the pharmacies to vaccinate us?

They are already trained. The vaccine could have been sent to their distribution depots and would be in the pharmacies the next day.

I’m a bit worried as regards our name. Do they realise that we are not really part of Holland!? (Van Geest, Tulip parade, Rembrandt Way etc.)
