LETTERS – Fines for not having lights

Wow there are a large amount of cyclists on the road with no lights. This is crazy!

How can the rules of the new highway code about drivers giving priority to cyclists be enforced when many cyclists will not comply with the rules themselves?

Making it even worse is when the street lights are out it’s virtually impossible to see them, add rain to that and it’s even more of a nightmare trying to see them.

It’s very unfair on drivers, something should be done about them, warnings about the dangers which the police do every year is not enough.

Most are adults that do it on their way to and from work.

Enough warnings have been given over the years now is time to hit them with fines as they do not know right from wrong. No more excuses.
