LETTERS – Capable of forming opinions

I was amused after reading Sir John Hayes’ rant published in the June 25 edition of The Voice, page 17.

Is he serious? If so, we require context, it is just not good enough to cite an article from The Guardian, possibly three-years-old, and provide neither a date, nor the name of the ‘militant’ journalist.

The readership of The Voice, if interested, are surely quite capable of forming their own opinions around such matters.

The right of protest is deeply rooted in this society, and the suggestion that all revolutionaries ‘seek to create a society in their own crazed image’ is rubbish.

Reflect for a moment. Was it not some long forgotten revolutionary who introduced society to the wheel?
