LETTERS – Bowls club is needed for socials

It appears in recent press that there is a lack of support for Spalding Indoor Bowls Club and their venue which has, over the years, been neglected and sliced in size for its users.
No bar, no restaurant, closed 6pm at weekends.
As mentioned, it was an appreciated social venue for all age groups and particularly the retired and people with time to spare for coffee, snacks, day, evening and weekends.
Good old SHDC and its councillors seem to know better about social life in Spalding than the residents they represent never asking those it concerns about what is required sports and activity wise.
It is time they are reminded that they are voted in to represent and support us all in the district and provide us ratepayers with the good equipped facilities that are used and not ones they think will enhance their portfolio .
Read this Gary Taylor, go to the bowls club, have a game. You might like it.
When you want to play it In 10 years time it wont be there. I wonder why????
