LETTERS – Attempt to hang on to power

The Tory party is once again treating the British public to the arrogance and contempt that has become its trademark.

Having tired of Liz Truss, with her sparkling personality and financial genius, they are now attempting to foist one of a group of second rate entities onto the public. Keep in mind that all of these people have been, in the last few months, rejected by the tory party membership, as Prime Minister material.

Plan 2 is to turn to an amateur buffoon who has only a passing relationship with the truth and is being investigated for lying to parliament, and took the combined efforts of a large part of the Parliamentary party to remove from office.

In truth the whole exercise is just an attempt by a shabby clique of plummy accents and expensive suits to hang onto power at any cost with total disregard for the British public and any thoughts they may have on the subject.
