LETTER: What’s happening at old site?

How interesting to see a photo and story regarding a day room under construction on the £1m travellers’ site.

Will SHDC take action? I doubt it.

How about a photo of the former site on Cranmore Lane? A wire fence, concrete bollards, roadways, brick walls and a storage container, SHDC returned it back to agricultural usage!

Is it true that the old site now belongs to SHDC as they swapped it for the site they spent over £1m developing?

There once was a case Sumner v Secretary of State for Communities and Local government (2010) EWHC 372 in which Collins J inferred it was wrong for a person to gain from a planning breach.

SHDC seem to be a law unto themselves, perhaps someone could state what their intentions are with the Cranmore Lane site.
