LETTER: What is the world coming to?

What is happening to the world these days?

My wife and I were shopping at Sainsbury’s in King’s Lynn recently. Walking down one of the aisles my wife picked up what she thought was a piece of rubbish and found it was £60 – three £20 notes.

She asked me to take the money to customer services as it was obvious some one had dropped it.
I took the money and my wife met me there and told me she had found a further £190 making a total of £250.

We gave the money and our details at customer services and said we would carry on shopping and return to see if anyone claimed the money.

On our return we were told the money had been claimed.

What a shame the person who had lost it couldn’t even be bothered to say thank-you or make any effort to contact us.
