In response to letters about the riverside knitting:
I am not the one who has stooped so low as to post personal insults as you people have.
For one you assume some thugs have vandalised those ghastly knitted images. This may not be true, it may well be a resident that opens their curtains every morning to be confronted by them and decided to get rid of them, for which, again, I cannot blame them.
As for what would I have said if these creations had been made by children – my comments would have been the same.
Black is black, white is white. If it is as this is – an ugly sight – it needs to be removed.
As for the comment about me picking up litter where I live, I don’t have to as my wife does it.
I have lived here all my life and I am entitled to my opinion.
I remember how this town used to look along the riverside and most of it still looks quite tranquil, until you get to these creations.
Please, please get rid of them and come up with some idea that actually fits in with the area, and not turn Spalding into some circus.
Oh by the way I always leave my name as I have nothing to hide, unlike some of you (name and address supplied).
If you have something to say, then say it.
