LETTER: Thanks for supporting Appeal

I shall be grateful if you will allow me to convey my thanks to the residents and visitors to South Holland, and to Pinchbeck in particular, for their generosity in supporting the 2015 Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.

With only a couple of small amounts (totalling less than £100) still to be received, I can advise your readers that Pinchbeck Branch of the Legion has raised the record sum of £15,331.64.

Of this sum by far the largest proportion is due to the generosity of the customers at Morrison’s supermarket in Pinchbeck, where in two and a half weeks we collected £12,544.32, which is in itself a record for the highest amount we have received from that source since the store opened in the village.

Again, on behalf of Pinchbeck Branch of the Legion, may I express our sincere thanks to all who so generously donated.

A R Boyer
Branch Treasurer & Hon
