LETTER: Thanks for Poppy help

May I, through the columns of your newspaper, extend my warm thanks to all who donated to this year’s Poppy Appeal in and around Holbeach?

The two-week period running up to Remembrance Sunday saw remarkable generosity from many people and made a significant contribution to the total raised, which now stands at some £14,000 since the start of October.

I would also like to thank the staff at Tesco and Co-op for their cooperation with our poppy volunteers, and all the local businesses who displayed our collecting boxes.
