LETTER: Shoppers will look for free parking

The present parking works well, but if it’s unlimited street parking the workers take the places and the shoppers can’t park.

If you charge shoppers, they will look for free parking elsewhere and leave Spalding town centre.

Pay-on-exit car parks, yes that will help, and also mark the on-street parking into bays to stop the poor standard on abandoning the cars and restricting the number of parking spaces.

That includes all on street parking in Churchgate and London Road.

The Bull and Monkie should be a long-stay multi storey, better than more in town houses.

Finally misuse of disabled badges causes havoc. It’s a misuse when the disabled person sits in the car whilst the able bodied do the shopping, blocking a disabled bay for its correct use and stopping the abandonment of cars on yellow lines.

Nobody checks the user of the badge. It’s about time this was done and the users educated into the correct use.

Oh before all the blue badge users shout, I unfortunately have a blue badge.

Ps Little London Bridge – two mini roundabouts, one either side of the bridge would help and is a lot cheaper than a new bridge.
