LETTER: Refine your comments please John

Re John Hayes’ comments – The Voice, November 5.

Whilst most people would not disagree with the general concept he was trying to convey, I am sorry but it was put or translated most naively.

The Secret Services are, and always have been, mostly adept at knowing what was going on, who was doing what, where and when. They still are.

The fault line has always been political masters who sometimes agree, and sometimes have alternate agenda and to which they disregard the Intel provided.

It is not a new phenomenon, it goes back to the mid 1930s. They do not need any “poster” help or advice. They are the professionals.

I must take issue with the tenuous “dial an extremist/insurgent suspect” concept.

Nothing wrong in that? Well it leaves the gate open for every bigot, malicious-minded person to get one over every Asian person they take a dislike to, every local corner store mostly Hindu, Sikh or Christian Asian-owned, well in your constituency anyway John.

Yes there are a few Muslim takeaways but do they come from the “forbidden” areas of the world or do they come from what is now the European Union? Never mind John, the professionals in the job will sort it out.

How dare you even mention the medical profession in your innuendo. Have you any idea of much good they do in your area? No, I thought not.

To give a example anyone can understand, my wife has had her life saved, not once but twice, by professionals in recent years, none of whom are indigenous to this country. All of the consultants, and senior and junior doctor teams weren’t either.

Do they automatically come under suspicion? No, the professionals in the game will sort the resultant mess out.

Learn to refine your public comments John, please.
