LETTER: Parking still an issue at Chancery Court

I must thank you for placing the article re parking on Chancery Court.

It seemed to work for a week or two. However today (October 20) was absolutely manic.

At 11:45am Georgian Court residents and people living down Chancery Court were unable to gain access to the complex or their homes due to the number of inconsiderate drivers parked on this road.

One resident of Chancery Court informed the Georgian Court manager that a vehicle was stopped trying to park in her driveway.

This is becoming a nightmare for all concerned.

Georgian Court has written to the council on numerous occasions requesting yellow lines on the complex entrance.

The lady who spoke to the complex manager stated that Chancery Court residents had also applied to the council for these yellow lines to be implemented outside our complex.

As per usual the council have no interest in this matter.

Why if we all pay council tax don’t the council help its residents, the people who live in this area?

Unfortunately today a funeral took place of one of Georgian Courts residents.

People returning home after the service were unable to gain entry via the main gate in transport and had to walk from the main road. This was ridiculous as some could hardly walk.

As stated in the last report, what if it had been an ambulance that had to gain entry or a fire engine to put a fire out? Either way lives could have been in danger.

Are the council going to be responsible if some person dies in either circumstance?

It seems the residents of Georgian Court and Chancery Court have no say in this matter.
