LETTER: Long Sutton is like Silverstone

After emailing Marc Jones where his office forwarded it to the Chief Constable Lincolnshire Police, who said their records show that Long Sutton does not have a speeding problem and there is a Lincolnshire Road Safety Camera van regularly in Long Sutton.
So I emailed Sir John Hayes who I would to thank very for his help so far. He wrote to the Chief Constable, who wrote back to Sir John who forwarded his letter to me.
Same old thing shortage of staff, lack of equipment etc and again the camera van.
The Chief Constable passed the buck to a Sgt C Corder who basically said the same but also added that he could see nothing happening in the near future.
A couple of months ago Linconshire Police held a purge of anti-social drivers, e-scooters and illegal e-bikes, PCC Mark Jones was on BBC Look North saying what a success it was and Lincs Police were really proud of their work.
As all the money that becomes available seems to spent on Spalding I can only believe that the residents of Long Sutton are second class citizens, are we not just as important as Spalding people?
Speeding is getting that bad that where I live it’s like living next to Silverstone race circuit. It’s now spot the responsible car driver doing the speed limit of 30mph. Some cars are travelling at between 50 and 60mph, HGVs disregarding the 7.5 tonne weight limit, vehicles parked on double yellows and parents parking in the zig zag area outside the primary school.
So if PCC Mark Jones is a man of his word, I am reporting anti-social drivers.
Will he do anything? I’ll not hold my breath.
