LETTER: I have a couple of questions for cyclists…

With reference to Mr N Bingham’s letter (January 19) concerning what I would like to believe is a minority of cyclists.

As a female pedestrian, I have experienced intimidation and bullying by cyclists.

I start my day walking my dogs in the “democratically” introduced total blackout. I regularly encounter darkly-clad cyclists without lights or any audible warning.

At other times, rapidly thrashing cyclists turn a two-wheeled mode of transport into a potentially dangerous weapon.
My dogs and I are regularly forced to shelter in shrubs on clearly designated pedestrian pathways.

I have two questions:
1. How much does it cost to say “excuse me” or “thank you”?
2. When will cyclists become responsible for their behaviour?
