LETTER: Grants should be used

As an ex chairperson of a parish council I cannot understand why wind farm grants that have building up for years due lack of usage request from residents can’t be used for projects rather than inflicting increased costs to residents for new buildings and street lighting (which when asked many people don’t want additional lighting) which make this an ineffective use of money.
