LETTER: Comedy night was a success

Our CLP in South Holland and The Deepings recently held a social evening at the Black Swan in New Road, Stand Up For Labour comedy night.

The evening was well attended and the stand up comics were mainly from neighbouring Lincoln Comedy Academy, who supported our event by not charging for their services on the night.

Paul Mutagejja, James Spencer, William Thomas Collishaw and Marshall B Anderson were a credit to their audience who also participated during the evening in a good sporting manner.

With our local membership going from strength to strength, interest has grown in our CLP and our meetings have been very well supported, but we thought by having a few social events it would make a refreshing change from the normal political agenda. I would like to thank the organizers, Kate and John Turner for all their hard work in making the evening a great success on the night.

We are having another social event for members and family at the Vista Church Hall on Saturday, December 12 from 5pm till 8pm near the Parish Church of St Mary and St Nicolas.

Also we are organising more events for the New Year alongside our CLP meetings for our members.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone in South Holland and The Deepings best wishes and good tidings for the Christmas season and a happy New Year.

We must not forget, it is a time for peace and good will to all.
