I, like many others, can only continue to be shocked and astounded by ex-Ukip leader, Nigel Farage’s hypocrisy in trying to influence American voters in the run up to their Presidential elections.
Like some local loonies, Farage was known to be apoplectic with rage when Barack Obama dared to interfere and suggest on his last visit to Britain that Brexit might not be the best option for the UK.
Yet here he is standing on a podium in Mississippi insulting candidate Hilary Clinton in the run up to USA elections and claiming he has a right to make known his views about how Americans should vote.
For those who may be interested, it is now widely rumoured that Nigel Farage quit Ukip, not for a rest, but because he is hoping to become a media star in the USA and the UK.
It may be that he thinks this career objective is more easily realised than his Brexit promise to “deliver £350m a week out of the EU and into the NHS”. We shall wait and see.
Meanwhile, events unfolding at the Welsh assembly continue to indicate that Ukip is a party in a terminal crisis of name calling and backstabbing that does nothing but betray the hard working people who voted for them in the vain hope they could prove to be different.
For that reason, and others, as far as I’m concerned the sooner they are dispatched to history’s dustbin the better.
