Two late goals saw Pinchbeck United come from behind to earn a 3-3 draw with Haverhill Borough at the Sir Halley Stewart on Saturday.
The Knights took the lead through JJ Ward in the Thurlow Nunn Division One North match but found themselves behind at the break as David Starling and Theo Goddard netted for the visitors.
Kai Wilson then made it 3-1 to Haverhill.
Pinchbeck rallied in impressive fashion though, Flynn Slater halving the deficit before Kisztian Gagyi, returning to the club after a spell in Romania, came off the bench to net the equaliser with five minutes left.
Both sides went for the winner towards the close but had to settle for a point a piece.
Next up for the Knights is another home game against a Haverhill side.
This time Haverhill Rovers are the visitors to the Sir Halley Stewart.
The match will be played in memory of Melvyn Tate who recently passed away and whose grandson Logan plays for the club.
A spokesman for Pinchbeck United said: “Mel passed away with his family by his side after a short illness. Mel’s two loves were his family and football and he’ll be looking down on both as his grandson Logan plays the perfect tribute to his grandad.”
