Lady President’s Day is a sunny success

Forty five women turned out for a superbly sunny Lady President’s Day at Spalding Golf Club.
The sun shone and a reverse waltz was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
A spokesman said: “Many thanks to our lovely president Barbara Newcombe for a well organised day and for supplying a few treats to sustain us through the unusual heat!”
Winners were Vee Rouse, Diane Leverton and Leanne McCanaan.
Second place was taken by Mags Filby, Helena Steward and Gill Dewhurst, with Olive Gooderson, Sue Matthews and Chris Leggett in third.
