Flawless Spalding Poachers 1st continue to defeat all in their path in East Women’s Hockey League Division Two North West after making it 14 wins from as many matches on Saturday.
Goals from Charlotte Maplethorpe and Evie Maltby gave them a 2-0 win at City of Peterborough 3rd, which sees them nine points clear at the top with a game in hand.
In the same division, Long Sutton ladies’ 1st remain in the bottom three after suffering a 3-1 defeat at Cambridge Nomads 1st despite a strike from Hannah Baker.
Down in Division Three North West, Spalding Poachers 2nd slipped up 4-2 at Newmarket 1st.
Roz Dennis and Amy Naylor got the Spalding goals, while defender Samantha Maltby was player of the match.
Spalding Poachers 3rd, meanwhile, suffered a 4-0 home defeat against second-placed Ely City 1st in the same division.
In Division Five North West, Long Sutton 2nd are third after a 3-0 home win over Kettering 4th.
Imogen Cooper, Penny Perowne and player-of-the-match Florence Perowne got their goals.
