Koba gets tails wagging

A black Labrador has bounded his way to victory in Spalding-based Rooke’s Pet Products’ annual competition.

One-year-old Koba is the Face of Rooke’s for 2026.

He saw off the 12 other finalists in a public vote to be the pet on all of the Spalding store’s advertising for the year.

A spokesman for Rooke’s said: “The finalists represented a diverse mix of pets, from cats and dogs to rabbits, a leopard gecko and even a rat.

“However, it was Koba who ultimately captured the hearts of voters and secured the title, following in the footsteps of last year’s winner, Turbo the Horsfield Tortoise.

“Keep an eye out for Koba’s appearances and join us in celebrating our newest four-legged champion!”

As the 2026 ‘Face’ of Rooke’s, Koba will also enjoy an exciting prize package including a £100 in-store voucher at Rooke’s Pet Products, an exclusive 12-month Rooke’s discount card.
