The wintry blast put paid to any hopes Holbeach United and Pinchbeck United had of climbing their respective league tables.
The Tigers’ Eastern Counties League Division One North trip to Haverhill Borough was called off, as was the Knights’ home fixture against Dunkirk in Division One of the United Counties League.
Holbeach do not have to wait long to try again against the Suffolk club, with Borough due at Carter’s Park in the reverse fixture this Saturday.
Pinchbeck have two games in four days to look forward to.
On Saturday they travel across the A1 to Southwell City, before welcoming title-chasing Retford United to their temporary Eslaforde Park home in Sleaford.
Meanwhile, Pinchbeck have paid tribute to their former committee member Ian Beeby who has passed away.
A long-serving local non-League stalwart and supporter, he also had links and involvement with Peterborough League side Moulton Harrox.
