Kendall wins winter match with 8lb 10oz

Spalding Fishing Club’s second winter match took place Sunday on the River Glen and it produced an average of just under 5lb per angler with lots of small roach and odd big perch being caught.
Out in front was Alfie Kendall with a very respectable and hard earned 8lb 10oz all roach catch.
Kendall found a few better stamp roach, fishing a 7 metre whip to hand from peg 17.
Next door on 18, Des Dalton had three nice perch including a 2lb 15oz specimen and he topped these up with small roach for 6lb 12oz.
Third place went to Alan Thomas with 6lb 4oz, closely followed by Nick Witteman with a level 6lb.
Next match is Sunday, February 12, draw at the New Bridge roadside at 8.30am.
