Keep This Up are living the Fever Dream

Spalding band Keep This Up had a busy weekend, winning a battle of the bands competition on Saturday, a day after releasing their brand new single.

The five piece describe themselves as ‘bringing alternative emo music back to the scene in a brand new way’.

Fever Dream is the ninth single by the band comprising of Chris Hicks, Jared Turner, Dan Shamma, Andris Liepa and George Britton-Ramsey.

“It’s for the people who are sick of the pressure of the world, social media, higher powers and their 9 to 5,” said bassist Chris Hicks. “We’ve been sat on this track for a while but feel like now is the right time to finally release it.

“We’re very proud of it and want to remind people that they’re in control and to take back the life that they love.”

Keep This Up formed in 2019, and have been building up a steady local following.

Last Saturday they won the Lincoln Tattoo Convention Battle of The Bands.

“We are one of the most high-energy bands you’ll ever see live,” said Chris. “Melodic sing-alongs, hard-hitting breakdowns, fast riffs and screams.

“We’ve spent the last few years gigging our original music across the UK and are always keen to show our music to more new people.

“We are gearing up to release some of the best tracks we’ve written and cannot wait for everyone to hear them.”

The band are set to play more shows in November.
