Anyone looking to get active in the New Year can try their feet at jive dancing as a new beginners’ class opens in Pinchbeck.
Run by Boston Jive, aka Claire and Neil Seabrook, the classes teach jive and swing dance, to the backbeat of good old-fashioned rock and roll.
Claire, who teaches across the county said: “Thursday nights are now full so we are expanding a little more and starting Friday, January 12, we will also have our dedicated beginners class every Friday.”
Classes cost £5 per person and take place at St Mary’s Church Hall, Pinchbeck. Claire said anyone who wants an informal chat beforehand can call 07767 149167.
Moves learned can be displayed at the Boston Jive Valentine’s Dance at the South Holland Centre on Saturday, February 17, with live music from Phil Haley & His Comments and DJ Mr Big Feet. Tickets cost £12 in advance.
On March 17, they host Revolutionaires.
