Jackson back in the Holbeach United fold ahead of tough Daventry Town trip

Adam Jackson could make his latest Holbeach United debut at Daventry Town on Saturday (3pm).

The left-back, who left Spalding United earlier this week, re-joined the Tigers on Thursday night and goes straight into their squad.

It’s a welcome boost for Holbeach, who are without the suspended Mitch Griffiths and Stacy Cartwright for the tough-looking trip.

However, Matt Warfield, Joe Braithwaite and Lewis Leckie should return for a game boss Seb Hayes knows will be tricky.

“It’ll be very hard,” admitted Hayes. “We’re coming off the Yaxley loss and a horrible day on Saturday when Dan Dougill broke his leg.

“But I’d back us to deliver the goods if we’re at it. Sadly, I know we’ll get beat if we’re not.”

Holbeach go into the game in second place in the ChromaSport UCL Premier Division, six points off top spot with four games in hand.

Hosts Daventry are ninth in the table, but just six points behind the Tigers.
