Invitation to pub neighbours to have a say on Hood Fest

A pub manager is asking neighbours to get in touch if they have concerns about noise during a planned charity music and beer festival.
Steve Leather, of the Robin Hood, in Spalding’s Bourne Road, is planning the event for August 28, 29 and 30 and hopes it will raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The event will include bands performing in the car park on the Friday and Saturday evenings from 7pm and on the Sunday from noon to 5pm.
There will also be up up to 20 cask ales for guests to try.
Steve said: “With approval from the relevant authorities we hope to make this the first Hood Fest in Spalding and raise money for charity as well as put the pub on the map for great ales and wonderful times.
“Understandably I expect there to be some noise. However, I will endeavour to keep this to a minimum.
“If anyone has any concerns regarding this event, please feel free to contact me either by email ([email protected]) or in person at the Robin Hood and I will endeavour to allay any concerns or questions regarding the event that you may have.
“Here’s hoping we can have a great weekend and raise lots of money for charity and with your co-operation I’m sure we can.”
