In Bloom judges visit Long Sutton

East Midlands in Bloom judges visited Long Sutton last week to enjoy the town’s efforts.

Judges Chris Beale and John Constable were met at the library by members of Long Sutton in Bloom and taken on a tour of the town by Marian Rowlands and Kay Jenkinson, followed by afternoon tea with all the “Bloomers”.

The town takes part in the Small Town category,

Long Sutton in Bloom chairman Kay said: “Chris and John were very charming and made complimentary remarks but you don’t know what they really think.

“We know we have done our best considering the extremely dry weather conditions.

“All will be revealed at the Award Ceremony at Newark in September,” she added.
