Sunday, June 25 was the date for Spalding Cycling Club’s premier event of the season, organised by George Bellars.
48 riders travelled to take on the Barrier Bank course, which is begging to make a name for itself as one of the faster courses in the area.
Junior rider and Bourne local Toby Bush took an impressive victory riding for TT legend Matt Bottrill’s time trialling team with a time of 20:52, leading home all the senior riders.
Kieran Buffham was again showing his form taking the Road Bike category win and fastest Spalding rider on any machine, storming home with a 22:49 and an impressive ninth in the overall standings.
More success came for Spalding riders with father and son Mark and Jacob Booth. Mark was fastest veteran (24:18) and Jacob fastest juvenile with a 27:04.
