Houndogs head to Holbeach

A special charity gig is set to take place to raise money for Remembrance Sunday events in Holbeach and a cancer charity.

Local band The Houndogs will be playing at The Anglia Motel in Fleet on Saturday, September 29.
The rock and roll and rockabilly trio of brothers are back on stage and ready to thrill.
It’s all part of a fantastic evening of entertainment which includes a buffet and DJ.
Anglia Motel owner Harold Payne is putting on the gig as a fundraiser as he’d live to do aeroplane drop of poppies over Holbeach on Remembrance Sunday, while also donating half of the profits to an as yet unannounced cancer charity.
“We’ve big plans for Remembrance Sunday and it’s just about raising funds for that,” he said. “As well as poppies we’re hoping for a parachute drop.
“As the veterans are all getting older we want to do something special to mark the day.”
Tickets for The Houndogs are £25 for an early bird ticket and £29 thereafter which includes food and a DJ.
