Hot Rock ‘n’ Boogie weekender returns with international stars

Huge names in rock ‘n’ roll, swing and jive are coming to this year’s Hot Rock ‘n’ Boogie Weekender in Spalding.

The event returns to Springfields Exhibition Centre this year with a packed bill for two days of live music, free dance lessons, a vintage market, camping and more.

Organised by dance tutors Boston Jive, the weekender promises to be swinging. Claire Seabrook from Boston Jive said: “We are so excited to host our third Hot Rock ‘n’ Boogie weekend!

“Two full days of outstanding 50s music with bands from Germany, Italy, Switzerland and the UK.

“There will also be free dance lessons, a large vintage market, ladies’ hair stylist and three areas for bands, DJs and singers.

“We cannot wait to bring this back to Spalding again!”

The event takes place the weekend of May 2/3. The Saturday will be headlined by Sugar Daddy & The Cereal Killers from Italy, while Sunday’s headliner will be Germany’s Cherry Casino & The Gamblers.

Other acts include The Revolutionaires, Phil Haley and his Comments, The Jive Romeros, Si Cranstoun and his band, Miss Lily Moe from Switzerland, Bo Walton & Red Alert, The Firebirds, The Outsiders, The Moonshiners, Holbeach’s The Houndogs, The Downtown Daddyo’s, Eddie Martin & His Rhythm Cruisers, Porky’s Hot Rockin’ and many more.

Weekend passes cost £65, day passes cost £35, children 12-15 tickets are £15 and young children go free.
