Coronavirus fears close two South Holland schools

Two schools in South Holland have been closed and a person has been isolated for testing because of ‘a potential connection’ to coronavirus.

Lutton St Nicholas Primary School and Gedney Church End Primary School both have a notice of closure on their websites.

The notice reads: “The school is closed as a precautionary measure because of a potential connection to the coronavirus by an individual within the school.

“The individual has been isolated and is being tested.

“Following advice from the Department of Health the school is being deep cleaned before re-opening.

“Further updates will be made via the school app or this website.”

The NHS says the symptoms of coronavirus are:

  • a cough
  • a high temperature
  • shortness of breath

But these symptoms do not necessarily mean you have the illness.

The symptoms are similar to other illnesses that are much more common, such as cold and flu.
