Hoping to be parade’s Star

A martial arts loving air cadet is hoping to reach new heights by being the Ambassador for the Spalding Flower Parade.

Star Perry, of Weston Hills, has taken part in Wado Ryu, Ju Jitsu, Akido, freestyle Karate and even weapons training, skills that led to her being chosen to display in front of the president of Cyprus when young.

The Boston College pupil has been helping her carer mum with clients.

Star also likes fishing, camping, bike riding and hiking.

She said: “I am looking forward to my future as part of the community in Spalding.”
