Firefighters pop in for a cuppa

St John’s Care Home in Spalding has shown its appreciation for local emergency service responders in and around Spalding with a Blue Light Breakfast offering.

Local paramedics, district nurses and firefighters attended the free breakfast earlier this month.

Staff at St John’s were on hand to serve breakfast baps, teas, and coffee freshly made on arrival by the kitchen team to fuel up emergency responders for the day or at the end of their shift for a pick me up.

Sean Compton and his crew from Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue joined residents and staff at the end of a busy night and kindly treated them all to a tour of the fire engine, along with a photo opportunity.

Sean said: “It was an absolute pleasure and great to meet everyone.

“Thank you for the hospitality. We really enjoyed it.”

Morgan Hicks, customer relations manager said: “We are proud to organise our Blue Light Breakfast.

“It is our way of saying thank you to all the fantastic emergency service staff in and around the Spalding area who work tirelessly to support our home and local community.”
