Hoops of delight for weight loss

A woman who gets up at 2.30am every day to hula hoop for 30 minutes has lost five stone in weight in a year.

Tina Taylor was referred to Slimming World and the gym after being told by the doctors if she didn’t lose some of her 19 stone 2lb she might not be around to care for her parents and family.
“I had no confidence because of the way I looked, was always out of breath and had severe pains in my legs and knees,” she said. “I am a very family orientated person and now I can run after my grandchildren.
“After a recent family holiday I found I could keep up with them walking along the seafront and didn’t need to stop for all the coffees and cakes along the way.”
Tina took up the early morning before work weighted hoop sessions after seeing them on Tik Tok and burnt 600 to 800 calories a day.
She also credits the Slimming World advice and options.
“The group is a great place to learn hints and tips,” she said. “The new foods, recipes and tasters are amazing.
“The Slimming World meal range in Iceland is great.
“It doesn’t feel like you’re on a diet.
“My healthy eating has also had an impact on my grandchildren as they are interested in what I’m eating and want to try it as well.
“I have loads more energy and can run up and down the stairs much easier.”
