Home to be changed into new hotel

A new hotel looks set to open up in Spalding next to an existing one.

Change of use planning permission has been granted to turn 78 Pinchbeck Road from a residential home to a five room hotel.
The currently three bedroom home is next to the Woodlands Hotel.
Boston based Eastfield Guest House Ltd put forward the plans accepted by South Holland District Council’s chairman’s panel last week.
As part of the proposals the front garden will be removed to be replaced with parking.
All bedrooms would have an en-suite while the existing kitchen, breakfast room and lounge will remain, documents submitted with the application state.
“While the existing building is not redundant, there are wider economic benefits to the conversion as opposed to maintaining the site as a residential property,” the report by head of planning Phil Norman states.
