Home damaged after kitchen fire

Firefighters were called to a kitchen fire that damaged a Whaplode home this morning (Tuesday, January 5).

Holbeach Fire Crew were called to the incident on Mill Lane at 11.45am.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue, said: “There was moderate fire damage to a duel fuel cooker and moderate smoke damage to approx 10 per cent of the property.

“This was out on arrival and was caused by cooking left unattended.”
