Holbeach charity helps trio of local good causes

A South Holland charity has donated £7,000 to three good causes in the area.

The Chosen charity, of Holbeach, has given £2,000 to the town’s scouts and guides who are looking to raise £8,500 for a new roof and guttering on their meeting hut.

A further £2,000 was donated to the Holbeach United U11 (Black) FC who needed warm tracksuits and kit for young players.

Another £3,000 went to the Jerry Green Dog Sanctuary at Algarkirk which is raising £200,000 to rebuild the kennel blocks.

The charity has a shop in the town’s Fleet Street and makes regular donations.
