A history play is to tour Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire, starting with a show in Holbeach tonight (Thursday, June 12).
Henry VIII Used To Hate Us looks at the history of the local area and was created by Ryan Gilmartin alongside John Dipper and David Malkin who also wrote the music.
A spokesman for the project said: “Henry VIII Used To Hate Us is a new show rooted in our history – Fen Tigers, folklore, rebellion and cheese.
“Created by award-winning artists who’ve worked London, Manchester and Hong Kong – but have made this show only for Lincolnshire.
“Book now to discover why Henry VIII Used To Hate Us and uncover secrets that will change how you see where you live.”
Today’s show is at Holbeach United’s Tigers Club at 7pm.
After dates in places including Peterborough, Boston, Grimsby and Lincoln, the tour will conclude with a show at Spalding’s Sessions House on Friday, June 27 at 7pm.
