Hemmings leads way

There was a healthy number of first-timers taking on Saturday’s Snowden Field challenge.

The weekly 5K parkrun in Crowland saw 24 runners, joggers and walkers making their course debut among the 103 finishers.

Peterborough & Nene Valley AC teenager Louie Hemmings was first across the line, in an impressive 16mins 46 secs.

Richard Williams was the first Halmer Harriers runner to finish, 11th in 23:51, and the first female to complete the course was Werrington Joggers’ Steph Parker, 24:49.

Halmer’s Lisa Gill, Becky Webster, Kathryn Chapman and Jayne Pell took on the Greenwich Peninsula parkrun.
