Heavy rain ensured that the first game of Pinchbeck United under-16s first game of the new season was abandoned.
Pinchbeck and Marshall Sports were locked together at 2-2 in the county cup clash before the heavens opened, waterlogging the pitch and forcing both sides off.
It was end-to-end action, with both teams testing the respective keepers.
Marshall fashioned an early 2-0 lead, but Pinchbeck fought back to level through Michael McGowan and Luca Ward.
However, the fixture will need to be rearranged after the downpour, with Pinchbeck’s next fixture against Crowland on October 8.
The clash was Pinchbeck’s first outing in their new Field House Residential Home-sponsored strip.
The Eye-based home caters for residential and dementia care as well as providing domiciliary care and day care.
