Handy Reachers for patients at Spalding’s Johnson Hospital

Staff at Spalding’s Johnson Community Hospital have been presented with some Handy Reachers for the patients.

In October, joint Spalding District Commissioners Jane Amess and Bridget Scase attended a meeting of The Friends of Johnson Community Hospital, which supports the hospital with, amongst other things, the purchase of equipment that helps patients on the wards and the clinics.

At that meeting it was mentioned that a member of staff had requested some Handy Reachers for the patients on the Welland Ward.

As a result, some of the units within Spalding District Guides decided to purchase one each to donate.

Representatives from 1st Pinchbeck Rainbows and Guides, 2nd Crowland Brownies, 1st Spalding Guides and 5th Spalding Rainbows and Brownies presented them to Welland Ward manager Jennie Gittins.
