Pinchbeck United suffered a Halloween horror show as they were hammered 5-0 at home by Cotgrave.
The Knights found themselves 1-0 down inside seven minutes after Jack Vipond’s opener for the Nottinghamshire side.
Vipond netted his second of the game midway through the half and set up Ryan Smith for a crucial third just before the break that knocked the stuffing out of Pinchbeck.
Smith netted twice more in the second period to ensure his hat-trick and his team’s 5-0 win.
Pinchbeck now face trips to Dunkirk and Harrowby United next week.
The Knights remain second-from-bottom in the division, seven points from safety but with two games in hand on a number of the sides above them.
Knights: Jefcoate, Denton, Balding, Panton, Cranfield, Huggins, Callaby, Young, Shenille, Louie Garner, JJ Ward. Subs: Twigg, Elwood, Dale, Tarver.
Attendance: 36.
