If you haven’t seen Guardians Of The Galaxy yet, you really should get yourself down to Spalding’s South Holland Centre this weekend.
The Marvel juggernaut, which has taken more than $600 million at the global box office, is one of the highlights of a wonderful year at the cinema.
Guardians follows the story of Peter Quill (Chris Pratt), who was forced to grow up in the galaxy after being abducted from earth as a child. Quill also goes by the alias of Star-Lord (well, that’s what he calls himself, at least).
One way or another, Star-Lord is on a collision course with Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax (ex-WWE man Dave Bautista), the brilliant Rocket racoon, (voiced by Bradley Cooper) and Groot (hilariously voiced by Vin Diesel).
These guys aren’t your traditional heroes and don’t initially have all that much in common, but watching them become a team is both epic and hilarious in equal measure.
Also making an appearance are Marvel uber-villain Thanos (Josh Brolin), his daughter Nebula (Karen Gillen) and the evil Ronan the Accuser (Lee Pace) in a film that is sure to spawn several sequels.
See Guardians of the Galaxy on Saturday (2pm and 7pm) and Monday (7.30pm).
